Oily Skin

Wash the face at least three or four times a day to remove grime and dirt. The last wash before going to bed can be with a mild soap.

Yogurt acts as an excellent cleanser for oily skin. Avoid using alcoholic astringents as they hydrate and produce more sebum. Do not use any night creams.

Bath Remedies for Various Types of Skins

Dry Skin

Was the face with a mild soap which has moisturizer, twice a day and not every often. You may also wet-wipe your face twice or thrice a day. Apply moisturizer after each wash to lubricate the skin. Milk with a pinch of turmeric could be an effective cleanser.

To counteract skin dryness, add oil to the bath. The floating oil clings to the skin, and lubricates it. To relieve tiredness add a teaspoon of honey, for luxury add a handful of powdered milk, or fill a muslim bag with herbs and suspend it in the water.

Combination Skin

Apply soap only on the oily areas as it is mixture of oily and dry skin.

Sensitive Skin

The best cure for this is besan or moong dal powder. It is better to avoid strong perfumed soaps and creams. Rinse the skin thoroughly with fresh water to remove the last traces of soap. This can be used for all types of skin as it has the properties of toning, bleaching and softening the skin.
