Astringents

An astringent is a preparation that help stop bleeding and reduce body secretion by causing blood vessels and tissue to contract. After-shave lotions, cologne and other skin preparations, such as some creams, contain astringents.

Astringents lotion are antiseptic in nature and are therefore beneficial for those beset with acne.
